WHEN Daniel Morris moved from Nottingham to the Peterborough area, his career followed the path of produce training.
That was in Spalding, after which he moved into sales, before going onto banking.

Daniel began his recruitment career after a successful few years working as a training manager for a major banking corporation throughout Australia and New Zealand.

He was then head-hunted to set up a new banking and insurance arm for a major recruitment company in Wellington.

He successfully recruited for the following year within New Zealand, quickly becoming one of the major recruiters in the sector.

"I then returned to Peterborough and worked for a small recruitment organisation within the leisure and culture sectors," he said.

"In my two years I turned the company from making substantial losses into a profitable organisation through successful recruitment with organisations such as the 2006 Doha Asian Games in Qatar."

After realising his ambitions did not match those of the organisation, he left and set up WPRS Limited in 2006.

The company was formed in order to deliver a cost-effective international recruitment solution of skilled personnel from all over the world to overseas clients.

Currently based in Peterborough with three staff, it will be expanding in the coming months and, in 2009, it will be opening a new Australian office to "help us continue our success going forward".

Its main client base is focused within countries including Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, UAE, Australia and New Zealand.

Daniel said: "To date we have successfully recruited staff within healthcare, oil and gas, industrial consulting, teaching and education, research, technology, culture and sports.

"We specialise in all levels of recruitment, from CEO to junior level staff, and have developed a business model to allow us to deliver successfully an efficient and cost-effective recruitment solution to any organisation whether a small company or multi-national organisation."

Recently the company has undertaken a major UK advertising campaign on behalf of the largest hospital group in Qatar, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).

It was tasked with seeking suitably qualified UK-based candidates for several key executive level positions based with HMC.

This has resulted in a successful outcome for the candidates concerned as well as both WPRS and Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), and has cemented its relationship to allow it to continue its successful partnership in the future.

"At present, WPRS does not do any recruitment in Peterborough," said Daniel.

"This is mainly due to our focus being on international recruitment and the growth within this market.

"We do see the Peterborough market beginning to see some distinct changes, with a once candidate-short market now becoming a candidate-rich market.

"This, in turn, is allowing employers to be in control again of the market and allow them to dictate salaries rather than paying above the odds due to the lack of available resource as in the past few years.
