Paul Grinnell
A CITY school pupil has won a prestigious enterprise award.
Ben Sampson, who attends the Thomas Deacon Academy, in Queen's Gardens, Peterborough, was presented with the Best Businessman Award in the annual Cambridgeshire County Young Enterprise Final.

The youngster impressed judges in his role as managing director of a Young Enterprise company called Evoke Creations, which he set up with a group of friends to develop, produce and sell a variety of fridge magnets.

A spokesperson for the organisers said: "At the Peterborough Young Enterprise assessment evening, Ben stood out as a candidate for the Best Businessman Award.

"He went on to be interviewed by the chairmen of each of Cambridgeshire's three Young Enterprise area boards and won the Young Enterprise County Award for the Best Businessman.

"Ben is a very personable and unassuming young man, and since participating in Young Enterprise, he has become more self-assured and developed excellent people skills.

"He has also gained an all round knowledge of business."
