CITY law firm Greenwoods Solicitors LLP has announced a number of new promotions. Alastair Gunn, Lisa Jinks and Keith Williams have been promoted to associate and Jeremy Lee takes on the role of senior solicitor.
Managing director Shelagh Smith said: “For us it’s about building successful teams of lawyers who thoroughly enjoy what they do – Jeremy, Keith, Lisa and Alastair have delivered an excellent service to our clients as well as contributing more broadly to our achievements through a range of additional activities such as leading teams, winning new clients and supervising more junior team members.”
Alastair Gunn is well-known in the regional business community for his corporate and commercial expertise and has also advised on international deals in the US and Australia.
Keith Williams and Lisa Jinks, both from Greenwoods’ Employment team, have impressed clients with their commercial and responsive advice. Jeremy Lee is highly regarded as a commercial property solicitor with more than 20 years’ experience of commercial clients.
n Meanwhile, another Peterborough law firm, Hegarty LLP, has announced the promotion of two solicitors to the position of associate.
Vicki Chilton joined the firm in 2004 and advises on a wide range of commercial property work including sales and acquisitions of freehold premises and all aspects of landlord and tenant matters. She represents a number of private developers with sites between two and 20 plots and is involved in land acquisition, planning and setting up the site for sales. Vicki also acts for investor purchasers and advises on their property portfolios in excess of 60 residential and commercial properties
Andrew Hornsby handles primarily substantial commercial litigation matters, but also advises on personal injury and negligence issues. He joined the firm in May 2006. He attended Kings School in Peterborough, then studied law at De Montfort University and qualified as a solicitor in 1996. He is a member of many organisations including the Society of Computers and the Law, the College of Personal Injury Law and Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. Andrew is completing his training as a commercial mediator.
Commenting on the announcement, partner Matthew Sidebottom said: “The promotions reflect the hard work and commitment of Vicki and Andrew. I am confident that their legal careers will continue to flourish at the firm.”
n Train operator National Express East Coast has appointed a route performance manager for the region as part of the drive further to improve the punctuality of its services.
Hayley Forrest is responsible for the part of the East Coast Main Line south of Doncaster – running through Retford, Newark, Grantham, Peterborough and Stevenage down to London King’s Cross.
She is one of three newly-appointed route performance managers who report to Paul Boyle, head of performance delivery at National Express East Coast.
