People in Peterborough have the opportunity to apply for a wide range of jobs thanks to a city Jobsfair.
Peterborough Jobcentre Plus, working in partnership with Peterborough City Council, is holding the Jobsfair on Friday, between 10am and 2.30pm at the town hall, in Bridge Street.

The event will be promoting vacancies across a range of sectors including retail, care and hospitality, security and admin/customer services.

Many jobs are on offer, with more than 30 local employers at the event, such as Toys R Us, The Haycock Hotel, CUK Security Services Ltd, Allied Care Ltd and the Royal Bank of Scotland, to discuss recruitment with interested applicants.

Specialist advisors will be on hand throughout the Jobsfair to give help and advice on how to apply and fill in application forms, plus give information on the range of help that may be available when starting work.

Jobcentre Plus district marketing manager Peter Davidson said: "We have a great selection of jobs that are full and part-time, temporary and permanent.

There are day, evening and weekend shifts available, and these positions would suit anyone looking for work, whether they are parents looking to work around school hours, students looking to earn a little extra cash, or those looking for permanent employment in one of the various occupations."

He added: "Staff here at Jobcentre Plus are committed to working with employers in the town to help more people back into employment and fill vital positions."
