THERE was praise for a Peterborough company from a leading politician for its use of training services.
Peterborough MP Stewart Jackson, who is the shadow minister for communities and local government, visited the Advance Performance running store, in Fengate, to hear at first hand the extensive use the company has made of the Business Link scheme.

He was accompanied by chief executive of Business Link in the East of England Pat Smith and partnership director Steve Clarke.

Advance Performance founder Samantha Hale said: “Business Link has helped us from the beginning, more than 12 years ago.

“In 2005 and 2006 we were able to take advice on re-branding, marketing communications, media training and public relations.

“Business Link advised on reputable PR consultants to support the company’s marketing aims.

“And through the team of Business Link advisors, we also gained access to a valued IT system which enables us to look at cash flows, forecasts and projections.”

Business Link adviser Brian Leeming said: “Advance Performance is an excellent example of Business Link contributing significantly to the successful growth of a business.”
