Peterborough electronics systems design company Myriad IT Solutions helped Silicon Valley Systems to reach the final of the MOD Grand Challenge.
A consortium, headed by Silicon Valley Systems (SVS), was selected with a number of other teams, to take part in the competition which culminated in a finale at the Copehill Down MOD training facility last week.
The final event was a competitive, physical demonstration of a semi-autonomous system in a representative urban environment.
The Silicon Valley consortium comprised Silicon Valley Systems, IDUS Consultancy Ltd, Smiths Engineering GB Ltd, Kingston University, University of Reading and Bruton School for Girls.
Myriad IT Solutions provided software and system design services to SVS throughout the project and on-site support services during the finale.
The SVS entry successfully completed three proving exercises under arduous conditions to be selected as one of the seven teams to make the final.
While not the outright winner, it attracted a great deal of interest from the MOD due to the innovative use of autonomous navigation and video processing capabilities.
Myriad IT Solutions provided software and system design and integration services to SVS throughout the project and on-site support services during the finale.
