A LEADING Peterborough business spokesman has just secured a directorship with a growing transport company near Peterborough.
Chief executive of Peterborough Chamber of Commerce John Bridge has been made a non-executive director of Alconbury-based transport provider Flex-able Travel.

Managing director Richard Vanbergen said: "We recognise the company needs help with its strategic growth.

"Linked with the wealth of experience that John has amassed, there are many opportunities we believe will enable us to maximise our share of the market.

"He has a wealth of knowledge of local industry but more importantly within the road haulage and transport sector. As such, he fully understands the constraints and new legislation which is constantly enforced upon us."

Mr Bridge, who used to run his own haulage firm, said: "Flex-able Travel is a powerful example of how a forward-thinking, driven company can identify gaps in the marketplace and draw upon its strengths to expand successfully."
