MANUFACTURING business Advanced Handling celebrated its 30th anniversary with an open day attended by Market Deeping town mayor Pauline Redshaw.
Located on the Northfields industrial estate, in Market Deeping, the company has been a manufacturer of handling solutions since 1978.
From its humble beginnings in manufacturing pallet trucks, it currently supplies bespoke handling solutions to local companies, as well as global organisations such as Coca-Cola and Tesco.
An open day was held for its customers to tour the manufacturing facility, as well as see technical presentations and
product demonstrations. There was also the opportunity to discuss bespoke applications.
There was a marquee, with a giant scalextric track, and hog roast provided by local suppliers at Grasmere Farm.
The significance of the track was to tie in the celebrations with an event which happened the year Advanced Handling was founded, when James Hunt secured the winning podium spot at the European Grand Prix.
The fastest recorded lap time on the day won an Ultimate
Driving Experience at Silverstone.
The mayor said: "It is great to see how the firm has evolved over the years and all the different products it is making, it is doing a grand job especially when it has achieved it in Market Deeping."
She added: "Companies that put Market Deeping on the map give us an immense pleasure, and we are very grateful to all the businesses for the exposure."
Advanced Handling managing director Mike Prince said: "The open day was a success. it gave us a chance to meet our customers and for them to see Advanced Handling behind the scenes.
"I was very proud to commemorate this landmark achievement with such a great day that both our staff and customers could enjoy."
