Sight and sound specialist Clarke & Tholomew is leading an ambitious project to reduce the environmental impact that businesses are having on Cygnet Park in Peterborough.
The project is being supported by Peterborough Environmental City Trust (PECT), an environmental charity which runs the Business Envestors scheme to help local businesses go green.
Clarke & Tholomew is already doing its part for the environment, having implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS), and is working towards ISO:14001.
The company also uses recycling bags in its office, which were sourced from UK high street fashion retailer Next.
The stylish bags can be used for the home or office, and are used to recycle paper, cans and glass.
On realising that there was a need for recycling these items in business, founder and managing director of Clarke & Tholomew Victoria Clarke approached Next to ask if it would be willing to donate a set of bags for each company based at the Cygnet Business Park.
With three stores in Peterborough, and one of them being one of the largest in the UK, Next agreed.
So, within the next few weeks, every business on the park will be allocated a set of bags which has proved a massive boost in just the first stages of turning Cygnet Park into an eco business park.
A spokesman for Next said: "Next is very pleased to be able to help reduce the environmental impact of businesses on Cygnet Park by donating our fantastic recycling bags.''
Victoria added: " We are very grateful to Next in supporting our venture, and the bags will play an important part of developing Cygnet park into Peterborough's first Eco Business Park."
