MATCH winner of the JVAC match was once again Steve Freeman and he did it off hot peg 25 on the Willows.
He had a nervous first hour which saw only the odd fish showing but a good second hour saw three fish in the net for 30lb-plus and from then on it was plain sailing.

He finished with 141lb 5oz with most of his fish falling to waggler and maggot.

In second place was Andy Gausden who fished caster up in the water to record a level 71lb. Similar tactics put Robert Bell into third place on 58lb 10oz followed by Chris Baldwin with 54lb 11oz.

THE Greenfields Lake open at Sawtry saw a repeat of last weeks result, Ian Bibby taking the top spot with 3lb 4oz followed by Terry Kelly on 1lb 13oz.
