The newsdesk is at the centre of the ET action. It is made up of news editor Rose Taylor, her deputy Andrew Jackson and their assistant Maria Thompson.
They are in charge of news full stop. They can usually be found sweating blood, chewing their nails and drinking pints of double-strength coffee at 6.45am.

The ET has eight reporters, who work long and hard to put news on your table.

We are als
o lucky enough to have a soon- to-be bestselling author among our ranks.

Our politics reporter is Jonny Muir, a keen cyclist who will be publishing his first book, Heights of Madness, in October.

Jonny's book is about a 92-day, 5,000 mile journey he completed on his bike, during which he scaled the summit of all of the UK's 92 counties. Priced at £12.99 and available in all good bookshops, get your orders in today.
