15th: MARTIN Adams added his name to the list of darts superstars with a sensational Lakeside World Championship success.
The Deepings legend brought a 14-year pursuit of one of the biggest prizes in darts to a wonderful end with an epic 7-6 victory over Phill Nixon.

"Wolfie" Adams appeared to be on course to dish out a final annihilation when storming into a 6-0 lead. But he was powerless to stop fellow 50-year-old Nixon mounting an amazing fightback to level at 6-6 in a battle between the two oldest players in the tournament

But Adams showed his class to come through when the chips were down.

17th: A NEW information sharing crime-busting website was launched to help make Peterborough a safer place.

The 480 Neighbourhood Watch schemes which cover the city and the surrounding area were able to use internet technology to let residents
know what crooks are up to in their
communities.

At the click of a mouse, members of the public can visit the new site, www.peterboroughnhwa.org.uk, which was launched by the Peterborough Neighbourhood Watch Association (NHWA).

18th: PETERBOROUGH was hit by the worst storm in 17 years as 70mph gales uprooted trees and ripped tiles from roofs.

Police and the fire service took a record number of calls, and roofing companies and building firms were inundated with work.

Remarkably there was only one report of injury despite the dangers on the streets and major roads.

20th: POSH announced the shock appointment of rookie manager Darren
Ferguson.

Chairman Darragh Macanthony stunned fans by unveiling the former Wrexham midfielder as the club's third full-time manager in 12 months ahead of a home defeat by Stockport County.
