The "keep covered'' warning came after police were called to Central Park in Peterborough when a member of the public complained about a woman who had stripped to the waist to take advantage of scorching temperatures.
It was the latest in a number of similar incidents, and the city council warned park rangers will step in and order
topless bathers to cover up.

With the Thomas Deacon Academy opening this year, The Evening Telegraph revealed there are plans for a second one on the south side of the city.
Education chiefs and potential sponsors, the Ormiston Education Trust, have already held talks with staff at Bushfield Community College and Orton Longueville School about a merger which would create an academy for 1,700 pupils. Talks are at an early stage, but work could begin in 2010.

The website FixMyStreet.com allows people to write messages of discontent and pinpoint problems on a map. The information is forwarded to Peterborough City Council.
